A Way Out of You
By Deanna Evjen
You stole my heart for what seemed like a while.
But then you started drifting away an inch by a mile.
You started to do nothing but complain.
You started acting like a giant pain.
Why did you have to act that way.
As if I owed you something as pay.
You decided to choose.
But in the end we both lose.
You made your choice now I will make mine.
I am going to avoid crossing your line.
Our lines might meet again.
But right now all I have is this paper and this pen
